- San Francisco State University:
- Undergraduate Department: During my freshmen year, I became a Gatoraider - after our school mascot, the Gator - which is similar to an advisor. During orientations, I would advise and set up a graduation path that met the student's time, scope, and budget. My duties include:
- peer advising for students in the college of business
- webmaster for the Gatoraider website
- College of Business / Information Management Systems Association: As a business student double majoring in Information Systems, and E-Commerce, I naturally joined an organization that focuses on my studies, iMSA. iMSA is local organization that brings the technological community together on campus. With my previous experience and outgoing personality, I became their vice president for 1 semester and their president for the following 2 semesters. As president, I was able to contact and bring forth
- Pandora Internet Radio's CTO, Tom Conrad, to come speak to iMSA on their daily operations and how it relates to our studies.
- Google for a recruiting event specifically for Information Systems students.
- Tech Workshop which iMSA teaches its' members and other students about Linux on both the client and server side. During these workshops, I was able to have Grant Bowman, one of the 500 Ubuntu members, and Larry Cafiero of the Fedora Project come in and speak about open source software.
- AIS: Lastly, as my final impact at SFSU through iMSA, I worked with the Information Systems department to establish SFSU's first Association of Information Systems student chapter thus becoming the founding president.
- I am currently still with iMSA as their consultant.
